Hi, I’m Tony Jones. I’ve been helping home owners make their garages a comfortable space again for many years. I have tested several products, and only use professional-grade graphite-infused panels (the same stuff cool rooms are built with).

Am I different to any other installer? YES. I make sure the job is done properly by providing door maintenance after the install, which most installers don’t do.

Why? Because if your door is not properly recalibrated after the install it won’t be balanced and could eventually stop working. I do a full maintenance on your door to ensure it works perfectly.

Will it fit my door?

We install on sectional doors (which cover about 90% of residential garages) and tilt doors. If you're not sure, text me a photo with your name and question - is my door sectional or tilt - and I’ll let you know.

How long does the install take?

Most jobs are completed in 2-3 hours in a single visit. We arrive, install the panels, service your door, recalibrate the springs and motor, and clean up. Your door is back in operation the same day.

Will it void my door warranty?

No. The panels are mechanically fitted to the existing door framework. We don't modify the door structure. Spring tension is reset to the manufacturer's specification for the new weight.

What's the difference between your panels and the cheap kits at hardware stores?

The retail kits are usually 3-6mm foil bubble-wrap or thin foam. Our panels are 30mm graphite-infused polystyrene (the same technology used in commercial cool rooms), fire-rated and mechanically fixed. Plus we recalibrate the door springs as give your motor a service as part of the install. Better product, complete service, better result.

How much temperature difference will I actually feel?

On a Brisbane summer day with a west-facing door, we measure outside surface temperatures of 50°C+ regularly. With our panels, the inside surface drops to around 30°C. Radiant heat into the garage drops by 15-21°C. The further your car is from the door, the bigger the difference.

Which areas do you service?

Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Redlands, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. If you're outside these areas, ask anyway. We may still be able to help.

Do I need to be home for the install?

Yes, we do prefer someone to be at home. We need be given access to the garage, and to confirm the work scope. Once we’ve completed, we will show you what has been done, discuss any issues we have found and fixed, and provide advice on maintenance. We also require payment and will provide a tax invoice.
